Vans Bowl-A-Rama Bondi 2015

As all great things must come to an end, Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Bondi 2015 went out with an absolute bang as crowds went wild to mark another day of exhilarating bowl shredding. Thousands eagerly gathered in celebration of the 11th annual event to watch the world’s best skateboarders compete for an enormous prize purse of AUD $81,500.

Bucky Lasek at the youthful age of 42 blew judges away, as Lasek’s creative lines and use of the bowl combined with technical tricks put him in the top spot and taking back top honours, winning Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Bondi 2015 Pro Division; unheard of in any other professional sport in the world. The much anticipated returning BOWL-A-RAMA 2014 Champion, Tony Hawk, walked away with the revered Masters Title.

“It’s like a dream come true. This trip to Bondi, Australia, has been like a storybook. Like someone wrote a book- about a skater that came to Bondi, had an amazing time, and that skater’s name just so happened to be mine!” Says Bucky Lasek.

There was no denying the heightened excitement at the epic battle, as crowds watched in the action-packed arena – while thousands of fans around the world tuned in via the official event webcast.

“Vans BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi is one of the best skate events of the year. I was honored to be invited back, and the skating was more exciting than ever. I love Bondi!” Says Tony Hawk –Masters Champion.
